Is Shingkhar-Gorgan road a serious need at the cost of pristine Thrimshingla park?
Namgay sir, Aren’t we already driving through a lot many curves through prestine parks? why is it so critically prestine when it comes to Shingkhar-Gorgan? This is what i thought. Can you imagine how many and at what sacrifices the Bhutanese in remote are suffering in the name of conservation? Did you by any where saw there name credited for successful conservation? Else, a farmers there who would benefit from the road connection shall have the right to chose what they want. some one as an environmentalist and an economist can not force their idea on them. they know what they want the best. I urge the farmers there to demand a tunnel through Thrumshingla park from all those government or NGOs, international agencies and environmentalists who feel strong for Thrumshingla park . Otherwise, it is their choice and and i don’t support who puts words in their mouth shutting them up from what they actually fell. (Personal opinion)
